LIBRARY NEWS

Welcome to April in the Library,

It is Poetry month so classes will enjoy a few snippets of poetry this month during their library times.  Earth Day is April 22nd so we will also talk about the environment.   There is always so much to read and enjoy.

As always our Scholastic Book Club is available on line.  Simply order your books and type in our Library Code:  RC 154469 by April 20th and I will get those books out to students as they arrive.

I also would like to acknowledge some of  our grades 6,7 and 8 students who are a part of our Library Crew.  They are an important part of keeping our Library organized and welcoming for our school.  They give up many of their Nutrition Breaks to assist me and I appreciate their time and effort.  Thanks gang!

I am going to begin a monthly tradition of suggesting book picks.  (of course I have at least one copy available in our library)  So this month I've chosen the book:

Primary

This a book series promoting STEAM.  The author is Ashley Spires.

Junior

This is by Canadian author Michelle Kadarusman.  It is a heart warming story with a little bit of animal rights mixed in.

Intermediate

This is a cleverly written book by Canadian author Jennifer Dance.  It intertwines 2 plots and has an environmental message.
