LIBRARY NEWS
January was a perfect month to curl up with a good book. Many of our primary students did just that and completed a Reading Bingo Challenge. BRAVO! Some of our Junior and Intermediate students have been involved with Book Clubs and have been enjoying a variety of Fiction and Non Fiction books by Canadian Authors. (many of these from the Forest of Reading) We also had our Speak Off in the Library and we are proud to have Wesley and Morgaen moving onto the Legion to compete in February. Well done
In February there will be a lot to talk about. It is Black History Month so that will be an area of focus as well as some celebrations such as Lunar New Year and Valentines Day. Our 6,7 and 8 students will enjoy a visit from Canadian author Eric Walters. It's been great to see so many students eagerly reading his books in preparation for this event.
Stay warm everyone and try curling up with a good book!
