OFFICE INFORMATION

Please complete the Acknowledge and Permissions forms on School Cash Online as soon as possible!

Please call the safe arrival line at 1-888-885-8065 to leave a message about your students absence.

If you have a change in plans for end of day pick up please notify the office before 2:30 so the teachers and students can be informed!

Please make sure students have a change of clothes at school, a need for a change of clothes can happen to students in any grade!

Parents are to come into the office to sign their student out for early dismissal due to illness or appt. Parents are NOT to walk the students down to class or to pick them up for dismissal.

 

 

HOT LUNCH INFORMATION

Hot Lunches will start Tuesday, Sept. 30th. Orders must be placed by Sunday at noon to be processed for the following week.

Go to your child’s SchoolCash Online account items page and click “ORDER NOW”. If you need help please see the attached helpful links Creating an Account  and How to Order Guide

On days your student is unexpectedly absent or on inclement weather days please make arrangements with your teacher or the office to pick up food orders. Hot lunch orders will not be saved if the student is away, and arrangements have not been made to pick up on the order day. Orders may be cancelled two days prior to delivery by canceling the order in Lunchbox.

If a lunch order has not been received, please send an email within (5) days of the scheduled delivery (preferably within 24 hours) to [email protected] so that it can be investigated with the school and the vendor.

 

Student Handbook

The SCDSB student handbook contains a variety of information that the SCDSB is required to share with all students and families. This September, schools will be distributing the student handbook to all families via email. The SCDSB 2025-26 Student Handbook can also be found on the SCDSB website at www.scdsb.on.ca/elementary/parent and on school websites under ‘students’. If you have questions, please contact the school.

It is the beginning of a new year and the office is requesting any changes to your students contact information! If you would like to  go over the information that is currently on file please contact the office and we can review the information with you. If you have changes that are required please click the link below and complete the form and the office will make those changes.

Current approved volunteers please remember to sign your offence declarations in the next few weeks so that you don’t have to start the process over again.

Coaches Corner

🏈 Intermediate Flag Football is Back!
Get ready to hit the field! All Grade 7 and 8 students are welcome to come out for Flag Football tryouts happening
before and after school next week. Don’t forget to get your CashOnline permission form completed ASAP so you can join the fun. Once the team is selected, they’ll be training hard to represent our school at the Area Tournament in October.

Come experience the fun, fitness, and friendship of being part of a team that represents Mountain View with pride. We're looking for runners of all levels and abilities who want to challenge themselves and enjoy the camaraderie of competition.

Medical Forms

Please remember to return doctor signed medical forms to the office as soon as possible! Forms have been sent home for students that have had previously known conditions. If there have been changes to exiting or new please contact the office for updated forms.

 

School Council Nominations

If you wish to join School Council  please complete the School Council Parent Candidate Nomination Form  by going to School Cash Online to fill it out.

Forms must be submitted by Sept. 30th for consideration.

 

Dear Mountain View Students & Families,

Our school is excited to take part in the 45th Anniversary of Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope.  Terry started a

 

marathon against cancer.  Together we can finish it!

 


Our school run will be held on September 25th at 1:35.  It will be an active event outside so please be sure

 

your child is dressed for a fun event.

September in the Library!

Welcome back, the books missed you.  (and so did I!)  September is such a great month at school.  We will have some orientation periods the week of September 8th and then move into regular library periods the week of September 15th.  Our library schedule is  very fluid and does fluctuate depending on classroom and school wide programming.  The library is an important center in our school and we try use it as for as many learning opportunities as possible.  We have an exciting year ahead!
